De Warenne Academy serves the area of Conisbrough and Denaby Main on the Doncaster/Rotherham border. Conisbrough Castle is a well-known historical landmark and it is from this that the academy got its name. William de Warenne, the son-in-law of William I built the castle and the De Warenne family were established in Conisbrough for around 300 years.
