Careers & Aspiration Day - Friday 23rd November 2018

As a Trust, we have to key aims to ensure the life chances of our students. Thea are to raise the aspirations of our students and to engage their parents, careers and families in this process. Delta Academies Trust would like to invite your son/daughter, along with you and/or any other family members to our Careers & Aspirations Day on Friday 23rd November. The fair is open from 11am-7pm and we would hope you would spend 1-2 hours at the fair.

This event is being held at the innovative new National College for High Speed Rail, Carolina Way, Lakeside, Doncaster. This state-of-the-art College is fully kitted out with the very latest equipment and you will have the opportunity to have a look around as well as visiting the stands of over 40 Employers, Colleges, Universities and Apprenticeship Providers. You will be able to meet local employers such as DHL, Polypipe, South Yorkshire Police & Fire Services, The Armed Forces, Universities and Colleges from across the region and our partners at the Universities of Oxford & Cambridge. This is the chance for our students to ask the important questions for their next steps curriculum choices for GCSE, A Level and careers and destinations at Post 16 and 18.

As an indication to our commitment to improving the employability of our students, we have closed all Delta Academies in Doncaster to allow students and their families the time to ask the important questions to employers and education providers. There will be an expectation that students attend this event as it constitutes part of their studies and a key part of our careers information, advice and guidance programme. Parents and Careers must inform school if there are circumstances that prevent them from attending.

Students and their families should make their own way to the Rail College and the 53, 70 and 73 buses will take you to Lakeside from town. There is car parking available at the venue and also additional car parking at Lakeside should the venue be full.
