Austria Ski Tour 2013

24th April 2013

This Easter saw the third visit to the Austrian slopes for our students. On the first morning the group woke up to a glorious downfall of snow which set the day up perfectly for the experienced skiers and those new to the sport.

After a few stumbles on day one all new skiers had made excellent progress and headed on the ski lifts up the mountain. By the end of that day they had grown in confidence and were thoroughly enjoying themselves. The advanced group were tackling lots of different slopes and often came back at the end of the day with a range of exciting stories about the areas they had conquered.

The two ski instructors were fantastic tutors and as the week progressed students learnt many new skills. The group had a new 'Snow Plough' champion by the end of the week in Josh Hamshaw and this years 'Best Skier' award was given to Andrew Goodier.

The evenings were spent either relaxing in the games room of the hotel or taking part in other organised activities. An evening swimming and a pizza night gave students and staff a chance to unwind after a hard day on the slopes.

The students were a credit to the academy and their impeccable conduct was commented on on many occasions. Another fantastic trip!
