London Performing Arts Trip 2013

24th July 2013

This year a group visited London for two days and got the chance to experience two West End shows. On day one the group were in awe of the magical set used in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The Umpa Loompas and the puppetry used in the show to tell Roald Dahls famous tale were a favourite aspect of the show for most.

On the second day the group got to experience what it felt like to walk out under the lights of a West End show when they visited the stage set of Les Miserables. The group were amazed to see how small the wings and backstage areas were. They were also given the opportunity to hold some of the props and try on some of the costumes used in the show itself. After watching the very moving matinee performance all gave a standing ovation.

It was a wonderful trip and we look forward to next year's trip.
